Ferrari F355 Challenge のご紹介です。ボディ、エンジン、ミッションまでフルレストアコンディションになっています。そしてナンバー取得し車検もありますので、公道走行が可能です。公道用にタイヤはSタイヤに交換されていますが、それ以外はサーキット仕様に準じており、自走でサーキットまで行き、スポーツ走行が楽しめます。ボディデザインは本当に美しく優雅な雰囲気ですが、リヤのチャレンジグリルから見えるオイルクーラーやリヤウィングが只者ではないオーラを発散していますね。車内はOMP製フルバケットシートにスパルコ製6点式シートベルト、フルロールゲージなどサーキットのスポーツ走行に必要なものだけの簡素な仕様になっています。スタンダードなF355から大幅なダイエットにより運動性能は大幅に向上しています。そのフィーリングはライトウェイトスポーツカーそのもの。コーナーリングは俊敏な動きを実現しており、ライン調整も楽に行なえます。ビックリしたのは減速でのストッピングパワーの強烈さでした。ここまでコントローラブルで瞬時に車速を殺すことができるとは驚きました。これならポルシェでもオカマを掘りそうです。360 ChallengeからはF1マチックのみになりましたが、アルミ製シフトゲートを滑らせながらシフトアップ、ダウンを操作する楽しみは『跳ね馬』を制御している満足感を高めてくれます。エキゾーストサウンドはストリートでも十分快音を奏でるタイプですから、ついつい高回転まで引っ張ってしまいます♪このサウンドは最高ですね！

Introducing Ferrari F355 Challenge. Fully restored condition including body, engine and transmission, and surprisingly this one is registered for license plate and also has “shaken”, so you can roll off to the streets right away. S tire is mounted for street use but other than that it’s all in race specification so you can enjoy a session at a racetrack out from your home garage. Body design is really elegant, but those wings and oil cooler which you can see it from challenge grill at rear is telling that this one is something. Interior is very simple with OMP full bucket seat, Sparco 6 point harness, and full role gage, just for having fun at the racetrack. So much weight off from standard F355 to improve reflexes, that drive feel is just like lightweight sport car. Alert and agile cornering, easy to change lines, but the biggest surprise is her stopping power! It was just amazing how controllable and how fast to stop that even Porsches might stick in to the rear. There is only F1-matic from 360 Challenge but with this you can have fun controlling “Prancing Horse” by skating through the aluminum shift gates. This type of exhaust will play nice sound even in the streets so you might unintentionally rev it to high rpm. It sounds great!
