Mercedes-Benz190E 2.5-16 Evolution2のご紹介です。DTMでシリーズを制するためにリリースされたホモロゲーションモデル502台中の281番目のマシンになります。ブルーブラックの塗装に経年変化のヤレ等は一切なく素晴らしいコンディションを保たれています。低められた車高は3段階で室内から任意に設定できる凝った機構を装着されたサスペンションはさすがメルセデスと言える剛性の高いボディとのマッチングも完璧で、スポーティーながら上質な高級感をドライバーに感じさせてくれます。パワーユニットは低速域でトルク不足を感じさせずレブリミットまで軽やかに吹け上がり、大きなトルクの谷もなくスムーズな加速が味わえます。大きなダウンフォース獲得を考慮した大型のフロントスポイラーやリヤウィング、ワイドサイズのタイヤを履くために張り出したブリスターフェンダーなど、スマートが身上の190Eを筋肉質でアグレッシブなスタイリングへ見事に変身させていますね。現代の新しいメルセデスも魅力的ですが、ここまで攻撃的なスタイリングを持つモデルはリリースされることはないでしょう。やはりこの時代のモデルはBMW M3 EVO など強烈なオーラを放つ男のクルマが多かったですね。只今青山ショールームにて展示中です。是非ご覧になってください。

Introducing Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution2. This is the 281st machine of only 502 built homologation model just to win DTM championship. Blue black paint is in great condition. Low ride height greatly matches solid body and suspension with unique 3 step adjustable system, letting driver to feel high class sports. Power unit gives enough torque at low revs, very lightly revs up to higher rpm, no torque dropping and you can taste smooth acceleration. Big front spoiler and rear wing aiming to generate high downforce, blister fenders for wide tires are making “usually smart looking” 190E into muscular, aggressive style. Recent Mercedes are also fascinating, but they will probably never release this much aggressive model anymore. There were many real cars for real man like this one or BMW M3 EVO with strong atmosphere those days. Now displayed at Aoyama show room so please come and have a look!
